I enjoy watching my succulents and flowers thrive in my little container garden on my balcony. I would love to grow plants indoors but don’t for many reasons. I do enjoy silk flowers, and today want to talk to you about the benefits of silk flowers.

All Weather Friendly

For those of you who live in colder climates and are buried under snow right now, if you enjoy plants all year long then I highly suggest getting some silk flowers to display indoors. You don’t have to worry about silk flowers freezing in the cold from the comfort of your home. Artificial flowers can also brighten up your home and help you look forward to spring time, which is just around the corner!

Animal Friendly

Another benefit to having artificial flowers in your home is that they are animal friendly. When my husband gets me bouquets, which I love, my cats like to investigate and even eat the flowers! I don’t have to worry about our cats eating my fake flowers, since they probably don’t taste good anyway.

Variety of Plants

There are a variety of plants to choose from when purchasing fake flowers. I love orchids and don’t have to worry about the flowers falling off or our cats eating the plant, so I recently acquired this orchid plant. These beautiful purple silk orchids are from Commercial Silk.

No Dirt

I don’t have to worry about buying more dirt or getting our apartment dirty with artificial flowers. You can also get pretty creative when displaying silk flowers indoor. I’ve used river rocks and shell bits from Michaels, but there are endless ways to decorate a vase.

My beautiful orchids came with a glass vase filled with little rocks and fake water.

No Watering

Another benefit of having silk flowers? You can save on the water bill! No watering means you don’t have to kill a plant if you under or over water it (which I’ve done). Place your beautiful plant where you want it and enjoy. That’s it!

Won’t Die

Speaking of killing plants, that definitely won’t happen with an artificial one. If you enjoy plants but don’t have a green thumb, get some fake ones to enjoy inside your home. So, what do you need to do with an artificial plant?

Dusting

If you keep your plant in one part of your house for a considerable amount of time, it will get some dust on it. Just use a feather duster or soft cloth to remove the dust from your beautiful silk flowers and you’re done! Now sit back and continue enjoying your silk plants.

Great for Special Events

Silk flowers can also make great displays and decorations for special events such as birthdays, reunion, and weddings. If the fake plants are cared for and stored properly, you can use them for multiple occasions.

There you go! These are just a few benefits of silk flowers. If you have yet to try any out, I highly suggest purchasing your plants from Commercial Silk. They have a great variety of artificial plants to choose from.

Stay warm and happy decorating!

Silk flowers are so beautiful now, compared to years ago. Sometimes, it is hard to tell the difference in the faux and the real! Those are great reasons to use silk!

These silk flowers are really great quality ones! Yes, companies make them really high quality now. When I go out to restaurants its hard to tell which flowers are real and which are fake. Thank you for commenting!

Silk flowers are so pretty these days. I should really consider and orchid because I can’t keep a real one alive anyway. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
