When I first started Blooming Anomaly, I had very little knowledge of blogging. Since starting this gardening blog back in April of 2017, I have learned a ton, by reading and getting inspiration from other bloggers. Here are some of the best bloggers to follow.
For those of you who have been blogging for some time, you know how overwhelming all the information can be. I use to sign up with every blogger I found to copy their way of doing things. Since then, I’ve narrowed down my list to the few bloggers below.
Some blog about other topics besides blogging, such as saving money, beauty, and family. They all have one thing in common: they are all very successful at blogging! Some of these bloggers were able to see results within a few months of blogging, while others took years to get to where they are.
While some of these bloggers I consider the best to follow, they also run some of the best blogs 2020 has had to offer. I’m sure they will be valuable blogs to follow in the coming years as well! You will just have to see for yourself!
Despite all of these bloggers’ different blogging niches, you can learn something from each of them. Maybe you follow one or two of them already! Below are some of the best bloggers to follow.
The Reece Family of Its a Lovely Life!
I stumbled upon this family when skimming Facebook for blogging inspiration soon after I started by blogging journey. They were running a get to 10,000 followers contest at the time and I jumped on board. I was able to jump start my social media following with this contest and learned many other things about blogging along the way.
The Reece family started their blog all the way back in 2000, which has now grown into an impressive blog with 1 million fans. This family of five spends half the year traveling while inspiring others to start a blog and living a life they love.
They offer great advice, whether you are a travel or lifestyle blogger. Even if you are neither, the family has some valuable tips to give on starting a blog, as well as blogging tips in general that can help any blogger, no matter what niche you are writing in.
Neil Patel
If you appreciate information without fluff, Neil Patel is the blogger to you. His clean cut look on his blog and videos keeps you focused on all the great information he provides on blogging.
I love how he presents information by getting to the point immediately without too much extra information. If you click on his “Top 5 Tips to Improve SEO” video, he will get straight to the point on what his tips are and why, and that’s it. Since blogging can take up so much time, it’s great to know that I can read and watch tips quickly on Neil’s website.
Neil also has plenty of freebies on his site. One of these is Ubersuggest. I have been using his Ubersuggest keyword search tool, which is very useful to see if certain keywords are being searched, your competition, and more.
This tool is similar to other keyword tools out there. He offers a free and paid version. I’m currently using the free version to find out what the best keywords are to use, what keywords my competitors are using, and how my blog is ranking.
This New York Times Bestselling author has been blogging for years, so he definitely knows what he’s talking about!
If you are reading this and have yet to start a blog, what is stopping you? Blogging is rewarding, will help you become a better writer, and you can even earn some money! Read my start a blog article to begin today!
Ell Duclos
I found Ell soon after blogging. This talented gal started her blogging journey around the same time I did. She started making money on her blog at six months and was soon blogging full time.
Ell also is the founder of Boss Girl Bloggers. Her Facebook group quickly grew to an impressive 30,000 followers and growing! She also has impressive following numbers on Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram.
What makes Ell stand out from the others is how quickly she was able to succeed with her blog. She did this on her beauty and lifestyle site, all while still in her mid-twenties!
Ell created an affordable Pinterest course during her first year blogging. I have yet to take it, but have read all the wonderful reviews from other bloggers who have.
Update: I purchased and took Ell’s Pinterest course, and I must say, it is a fantastic course and a great price! While I already knew how to set up a Pinterest business account, she offered tips on how to create beautiful pins, how to apply SEO, and other ideas to drive traffic back to my blog.
Ell is also great at updating the course as Pinterest changes. You will get these updates at no extra price once you buy the course as well!
Check out Ell’s beautiful lifestyle site here. Ell is such a dedicated blogger, that she also recently started another blog, Boss Girl Bloggers, dedicated to helping female entrepreneurs. Both sites are beautifully feminine with light colors and handwritten script.
Jeff Proctor and Ben Huber
These two entrepreneurs are the founders of the blog Breaking the One Percent. They first began their blogging journey on their finance site, DollarSprout.
While Jeff and Ben get tons of traffic and make lots of money on their blog, they are very honest with how long and how difficult this journey was. Their no nonsense Facebook group is a great place if you are a beginner blogger wanting to make money online.
I found these two while scrolling Facebook and joined their BTOP Facebook Group. They use to run weekly giveaways for blogging related goodies. Who doesn’t love free stuff, right?
I won Monica’s Froese’s Pin Practical Masterclass through these guys and was able to learn how to better use Pinterest to drive traffic to my blog through this class. I talk more about Monica and her impressive background below.
Monica Froese
I didn’t know about Monica until I took her amazing Pin Practical Masterclass. I already was using Pinterest to drive traffic to my blog, but was able to increase that traffic thanks to Monica’s class!
Not only does Monica run a blog to help working moms balance their work and personal life, she is a mother of two herself. While working in the corporate world in 2015, Monica found time to speak to the President of the United States about balancing her work and home life as a mom.
Monica soon quite her job to run Redefining Moms full time in 2016. Check out everything she has to offer to working moms and bloggers on her site!
Michelle of Making Sense of Cents
If you have been blogging for some time, you will hear about Michelle at some point in time. She started her finance blog to help herself and others keep track of their finances. She made a name for herself by paying off almost $40,000 in student loans in seven months!
When Michelle is not busy running her blog and helping others with their finances, she is enjoying life on her sailboat.
Michelle is also the creator of Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and was featured in a CNN newsreel for making a million dollars blogging. She is definitely one of the best bloggers to follow!
The Best Bloggers to Follow
This is my list of some of the best bloggers to follow and best blogs 2020 and beyond have for you to learn from. These are definitely not the only bloggers that are great at what they do. There are many other bloggers who have found success in other niches while writing about how to blog and save money.
Something to consider is that even though there are many ups and downs to blogging, what each blogger has to say about the basic concepts of blogging stay the same.
Many people in the blogging community have a lot to say about it, which can get confusing and overwhelming at times. This is one reason why I kept my list to just six bloggers.
Yes, there are many more bloggers with equally valuable advice you can follow out there. Just stick with a few who know what they are doing to help you along on your blogging journey.
Who do you recommend I follow this year? Let me know in the comments section below!
Happy blogging!
