I’ve had a lot of gardening related posts on here lately, so I thought I would change things up by throwing in a “how-to” blog related post. This one is different than the ones in the past since its about different ways to make money with your blog. Enjoy this collaborative post about boosting the money you make from your blog.
I’ve only been blogging for 10 months and I’ve already made some money with my blog. If I can do it as a newbie then so can you! This post briefly goes over some ways to monetize your blog. I’ll be writing a more in-depth post on this subject in the near future.
Everyone dreams of sitting at home, writing a few blog posts, and then sitting back to wait for the money to roll in. Alas, if it were this easy, then every other job would be vacant because everyone would be doing this! Still, though it’s not as easy as it’s sometimes made out to be, it’s still more than possible to money from your blog. Below, we take a look at how you can do this.
Get More Visitors
It may sound obvious, but if you want your blog to be more profitable, then get more readers! As we said, it’s obvious, but it’s also within the grasp of most websites. There are dozens of ways to get people to click through to your site! When it comes to marketing your website, you should have the approach of ‘leave no stone unturned’; make sure you’re present on all the social media sites, that your SEO is watertight, and that you’re actively marketing the website with all the tools at your disposal. If you do, you’ll notice an upturn in visitors, which will then result in greater opportunities to make money through advertising and affiliate marketing.
Point Them Towards a Sale
You have a blog, but is that all your website is? It’s usually very easy to add a shopping element to your website, especially if you use a system like dropshipping. In a couple of hours, you can be selling products on your website, even if you don’t have physically have the product yourself. They click buy, you process the order, and then the item is dispatched from elsewhere in the world. If you have loads of people visiting your site, then this could add up to significant sales.
Help Others Reach Their Goal
If you’ve built a popular blog, then why not help others do the same? You have extensive knowledge and dozens of hints and tips about how to build a profitable blog, and there will be people willing to pay you for that knowledge. If you learn Adobe Captivate, you’ll be able to create learning content that you can then sell as a course on your website. It’s the simple act of packaging all that you’ve learned during the course of developing your blog and making it available to others.
Repackage your Content
Another way to make money is to reuse the content that you’ve already got out there. For example, if you have a series of blog posts about one topic, then they could quite easily be turned into an ebook, or a podcast, or a video (or all three: why not?). Over time, there’ll all provide a source of income. It might not be much individually, but grouped altogether it could be!
Invest in Your Site
Finally, remember that if you want to make money from your site, then you need to be routinely investing cash into your site. Spend money on marketing, upgrades, and pursuing new ideas, and you’ll be in a strong position to make as much cash as possible.
Have you tried any of these methods to make money with your blog? What has worked for you? Let me know in the comments section below.
