Is gardening something of an anathema to you? Do you admire other people’s gardens and wish that you could create something similar? Gardening is one of those pastimes that we know can be good for us. It also brings joy and satisfaction to so many of us, yet completely bewilders others.
If you fall into the latter camp, then fear not. Today we are sharing with you a few ideas to help you to get the gardening bug with our 3 gardening tips for complete beginners.

Do Not Be Afraid of It
We are starting with this, something of a mantra for beginners. Do not be afraid of it.
So many people are put off trying their hand at gardening. They are afraid that they do not know enough or they might not get it right. You are only going to learn how to do this and start making changes by having a go.What is the worst thing that can happen?
Have a think about what you would like to do in your yard and then start slowly. Plant up in pots and containers initially if you are unsure of giving plants a permanent home as you are finding your feet. You will slowly be accumulating plenty of your favorites, and they can find another home later on if you want to move them.

Small steps will make big changes and your confidence will grow with each successful planting. You will be amazed by how much you will learn from the very first plant, which brings us on to our next point.
Utilize Search Engines
When you think of gardening you think of the great outdoors, nature, digging in the dirt, feeling the soil in your fingertips. Gardening connects you to nature and allows you to slow down and switch off from everyday concerns. It is almost the antithesis of technology, and yet this tip revolves around it.
Search engines can be your gardening best friends. Pinterest is awash with inspiration and Google will answer all of those pressing questions that you have.

If you are looking for tropical, showy flowers, you might ask, where are there plumeria trees for sale near me? If you are planning to add shrubs to your shaded garden, you might want to check out the ones that grow best in those conditions.
Or perhaps you are looking for beautiful perennials that seem to get better year upon year, so then your question might be about how to plant hydrangeas. You can pin down where to buy, what to buy and then how to plant and care for your purchases within seconds utilizing search engines.
Go With Your Heart
Now that you are at least giving it a go and learning so much from getting your questions answered, you need to go with your heart.

Pop to your local nursery and see which plants and shrubs you are drawn to. Take a closer look and ensure that your yard will offer them the right conditions to thrive, and if they will, go with those ones. Browse Pinterest, look around local gardens, ask friends for inspiration and take it from there.
Once you take an interest in gardening, you will develop your own tastes and preferences, though they will certainly change over time, so go and enjoy them.
